just like a cloud that will soon move, and a dream that one will soon wake up from..."

Currency of the Hereafter
Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Insha'Allah you're doing well, and I apologize for the dry spell; exams and such hit with full force, so my writing was reserved for exams and assignments.
But I'm back now Alhamdulillah, and subhan'Allah, I thought I'd share this amazing lecture by Imam Siraj Wahaj entitled "Currency of the Hereafter." Please do watch it. And below that you'll see that I have posted some of my thoughts on the lecture.
Subhan'Allah, the whole currency theme is amazing. This analogy almost blew me off my chair. You do not own wealth while you are in possession of it; it cannot come with you after you die. The moment you die, the wealth 'belongs' to someone else. How then, can we truly own this wealth? By spending it in the way of Allah SWT. If you spend a penny fisabilillah, then you will own that penny, for you will see it on the Day of Judgment in the form of a good deed. Allahu Akbar!
brothers and sisters, let us make the decision now. Let us strive for Jannat-ul-Firdaus, and the pleasure of Allah SWT, after all, it is He who has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. I end off with the following quote:
"While you are alive, it is never too late to become the person you might have been..."
I am nothing more than a muslimah and mu'minah, insha'Allah, who is striving to please Allah
SWT.
A righteous man once said:
"Whoever enriches his outward behaviour by following the sunnah, and makes his inward soul wealthy through
contemplation,
and averts his gaze away from looking at what is forbidden, and avoids anything of a doubtful nature, and feeds
solely on what is halal- his inner sight will never falter."
